The founder of J. K. Tan & Co, Mr JK Tan is specialised in auditing and taxation. He has assisted the Small Medium Enterprises ("SMEs") in Johor Bahru for their statutory audit & taxation affairs diligently.
Mr JK Tan has more than 14 years of experiences in the professional services line of audit and taxation. He is graduated in Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) from International Islamic University of Malaysia (UIAM) in year 2004. He has worked in mid tier audit firm before he is qualified as a Chartered Accountants. Today he is the full member of various professional bodies, such as Malaysian Institute of Accountants (“MIA”), Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (“ACCA”), and Chartered Taxation Institute of Malaysia (“CTIM”).
Prior to become an approved company auditors and licensed tax agents, he has been involving in the audit and corporate taxation of various small and medium (“SME”) industries ranging from trading, manufacturing, agriculture, construction, property development and other special industries. In addition, he has 2 ½ years of commercial experiences in a listed company listed at the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia, which he involved in the assisting of quarterly announcement, shareholders’ circulars, drafting annual report, identification of related parties transactions, group taxation study and analysis and other corporate ad-hoc assignments.
He obtained his Goods and Services Tax (“GST”)’s Tax Agent License in year 2014. He is also involved in providing various seminars of GST talk, discussing GST implementation issues with various business groups in order to getting the SME/SMI getting ready and familiarizes with the GST.
Mr JK Tan has the passion in performing audit according to auditing standards & accounting standards. Even though many of his peers tend to venture into more consultancy area of works, he is still preferred to provide the analytical of the audit & assist SMEs to understand their financial position better. Even though he may not have the experienced in big 4 but he can understand the whole processes from secretary matters related to Companies Act, auditing, taxation & GST. In short, he can finalised the whole set of audit & provide the advise on how the Company financial position. |

WC Lim

Ms WC Lim has more than 15 years of experiences in handling corporate & commercial sector's full set of accounts.
Prior to join us, she has worked in various well established audit firm including one of the firm in the top 10 audit firm. In addition, her specialised is in the commercial sectors - construction sector & preparing doctor accounts for specialise Doctors, i.e. Doctors at Wisma Maria. In addition, for those pawning ("pajak gadai") how to recognise income at which stage can look for us.
Currently, she is in charge of the Accounts & GST department. Her role is to provide assistance to Small-and-Medium Industries (SMEs) ranging from book-keeping, finalise accounts, accounts checking and GST advisory & planning for better compliance with MFRS or MPERS. |

Mr SC Chu is graduated in Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) from National University of Malaysia (UKM) in year 2009 and become a chartered accountant in year 2012. During his year of graduation, he was awarded the Best Accounting Student Award by MIA and Excellence Awards for Best Accounting Graduates by Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“MICPA”).
During his year of practice in chartered accounting firms, he was exposed to various accounting, tax and finance issues faced by SME industries, for example, property development, construction, manufacturing, logistics, and retailing and education services.
In year 2014, he passed the Goods and Services Tax examination organized by the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (“RMCD”).
He is now the approved tax agent under the Goods and Services Act 2014 (“GST Act”) and Income Tax Act 1967.
